Successful Ferrari Challenge Winning Weekend in Texas Readies Scuderia Corsa for Upcoming Home Race at Laguna Seca

-Six Victories, Five Podiums in Ferrari Challenge Race Weekend

- Championship Fight Continues in IMSA at Laguna Seca this Weekend

-200 Guests in Attendance to Witness Team's Five-Year Anniversary

AUSTIN, Texas (September 18, 2017)  Completing another successful weekend in the Ferrari Challenge with five podiums and six wins, Scuderia Corsa will now immediately turn attention to this upcoming weekend's penultimate round of IMSAcompetition with a focus on furthering their lead in the series' championship.

Competing at the famous Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, this weekend's fifth round of the Ferrari Challenge continued to show the strength of Scuderia Corsa's depth of organization. Having taken multiple wins in every event so far in 2017, this weekend would prove no different with Cooper MacNeil winning both rounds of the Trofeo Pirelli category, as well as Karl Williams taking a win during Saturday's Race Two extending his championship lead in Coppa Shell. Joining MacNeil, Martin Fuentes would also take a podium sweep in Trofeo Pirelli and Lisa Clark earning back to back Ladies Cup awards, while Oscar Parades-Arroyo, Jim Camp, Michael Fassbender, Mark Fuller, Chris Carel, Darren Enenstein, and Mike Heagerty would all enjoy strong weekends as well. The team also earned three Coppa Team Cup wins for Ferrari Silicon Valley and Ferrari Beverly Hills.

All focus now shifts to the upcoming weekend of racing in the IMSA championship, where the team will perform in front of a home crowd of 200 guests and partners at Laguna Seca Raceway, located just 90 miles from sister company Ferrari Silicon Valley.

With a 13-point lead and only two races remaining in the IMSA SportsCar Championship, drivers Christina Nielsen, Alessandro Balzan and the No. 63 Ferrari 488 GT3 will look to continue their impressive form in 2017, having already taken eight top-five finishes in 10 races, including six consecutive podiums.

Scuderia Corsa proves very strong at Laguna Seca with three podiums, most recently two in 2016 in GT-Daytona and GT-Le Mans classes. The weekend will also serve a special significance as the five-year anniversary of the team's professional sportscar debut, having made the first appearance at this very track in September, 2012, where Scuderia Corsa immediately impressed with a pole position. In only five years, the team has gone on to win three major sportscar titles and numerous victories, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans, 12 Hours of Sebring, and Six Hours of Watkins Glen.

For Giacomo Mattioli, a successful combination of weekends continues to prove the strength of the organization.

"Being able to transition so quickly from another winning weekend in Ferrari Challenge to a championship-focused weekend in IMSA is a complete testament to the quality of our team," stated Mattioli. "This weekend serves as a very special one for us, as not only the five-year anniversary of top-level sportscar racing, but also the ability to do it in front of a large home crowd with 200 guests. We relish in these kind of opportunities and are excited to continue the fight for the IMSA Sportscar Championship."

Official practice begins this Friday, September 22, with race action taking place on Sunday, September 24. Television coverage begins on FOX Sports 1 at 5:00PM ET, and will be streamed live in the U.S. in its entirety on the FOX Sports GO app with FOX authentication, and also will be broadcast live from flag-to-flag on IMSA Radio via IMSA.com, RadioLeMans.com and SiriusXM Radio.
